The National Elephant Center is a 225-acre home for elephants with the potential to expand in the future. We provide short-term and long-term care for North American elephants in support of the accredited zoo population and for the welfare of elephants in need. Though not open to the public, The Center offers education programs that raise awareness about elephants and our work to care for them. We also offer limited opportunities to visit in support of these goals. Learn more by visiting our website.

Our Mission is to rescue and care for unwanted or abused exotic animals. We provide a safe haven that allows the animals to live out their lives in a caring and safe environment. We accept fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Every animal is given a permanent home at Critter Haven. We do not trade, sell or breed animals. Instead, we devote our efforts to each animal's specific needs. Critter Haven is the only exotic animal rescue sanctuary in Indian River County, Florida. Please visit the above links to learn more about Critter Haven. Critter Haven is a Preserve and is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Please do not call for tours
