Description: The Surf Fest will be three surf contests. The first ever Surfing America Prime series event to be held in Florida, a Grade 5 Junior Pro (the biggest in North America and Europe). This will be a two-day event. The Collegiate Surfing Association will hold Florida State and East Coast Championships, which will include about 15 colleges and universities battling for the East Coast title. This will be a two day event. The U.S. Masters Professional Championship; an invitational event that will feature America's best and most iconic surfers age 40 and over. 210+ talented artists will participate in this Treasure Coast mainstay art show put on by the Vero Beach Art Club. All participants are juried before being in the show and must exhibit "originals only" artwork.
Florida Monthly Magazine deems this show the "Best Arts & Crafts Show in Florida" and Sunshine Artist ranks it "57th in the Top 200 Shows in the Nation." Situated among the stately Oaks in Riverside Park and across the street from the Vero Beach Museum of Art, this is a visitor and artist favorite.
There are no admission or parking fees and plenty of space to park and is an easy drive to the event. This is the 60th year the Vero Beach Art Club has put on "Under the Oaks" and over 80,000 visitors attend this 3 day art show each year. Due to city park restrictions, no pets will be allowed in the park or to be left unattended in vehicles.

Originally organized in 1980 as the "Vero Beach Firefighters County Fair", our event has grown from a 6 day program which ran from April 15-20, 1980 at the Vero Beach Airport, to the present 10 days of family fun scheduled for March 12th - 21st, 2010.
