Even though the IRL is an everyday sight for many of us, few have ever experienced the unsurpassed biological diversity that lies below these waters. The Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, located inside the St. Lucie County Marine Center, provides a window into this underwater world. Make no mistake, we are not a typical public aquarium. Our focus is on displaying ecosystems as complex communities of organisms interacting in their environment. At the Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, visitors can explore six different Florida marine habitats and learn about the complexity and importance of marine ecosystems. With the help of our dynamic displays we strive to provide the public with a better understanding of the fragile marine ecosystems of the IRL and surrounding area and the impact humans are having on these fragile environments.

The Environmental Learning Center is a 64 acre nature center located north of Vero Beach, at the western end of the Wabasso Bridge. The island campus includes a Discovery Station with aquariums, a marine touch tank, and exhibits as well as a visitor center, self guided audio tour, native plant gardens, gift shop and picnic facilities. Our exciting EcoVentures are enjoyed by residents and tourists alike and include escorted pontoon boat tours, kayaking, canoe excursions, nature walks, and more! The center is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday, 9:00am to 12:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00 pm.

Riverside Children's Theatre is the youth oriented educational arm of the non-profit Riverside Theatre, Inc. The largest youth theatre in the state of Florida operating in its own facility, RCT provides after school and summer programming and performance opportunities for local youth. An active outreach and scholarship program seeks to involve all the children in Indian River County no matter their circumstances, assisting them in developing confidence, discipline and self esteem.
