The Archive Center and Genealogy Department is specialized and unique from the rest of the Indian River County Main Library. Since the department was voted the 'Best Genealogy Library in a small town' people travel a long way to use the collection.In addition, the Florida and local history collection is very extensive. Since the hurricanes of 2004, the library has received 10-15,000 photographs and 50,000+ documents.

Thank you for your interest in the Vero Beach Interfaith Gospel Choir. It is an interdenominational choir made up of people of various backgrounds. We're working on two songs: Jesus is Real and Lay Aside Every Weight. We'll keep working on them next Tuesday, 6:30-7:30pm, and probably add one new song. In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Chartered in 1958 by Pilot International, the PILOT CLUB OF VERO BEACH, Inc. has supported and encouraged local youths with annual scholarships and performance based awards. It has initiated many local community programs such as 911 and lifeline. In addition, each year the club donates funds to several local agencies.

Save The Manatee Club was established in 1981 by former Florida Governor Bob Graham and singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. SMC was started so the public could participate in conservation efforts to save endangered manatees from extinction. SMC is a membership-based, national nonprofit organization.

Women are invited to the current Bible Study that occurs on the FIRST Monday from October thru May. We meet at the First Presbyterian Church in the E. T. Smith Lounge at 10:30 for Bible Study.

The Sebastian Fishin’ Chics is a non-profit club inspiring women to learn the sport of fishing. They are a group of women who are also interested in the environment, in helping each other & the community. The Chics meet monthly, have an online newsletter, and schedule outings.

The FPRA is the largest association for public relations professionals in the state of Florida. More than 1,000 professionals work together to enhance and promote the public relations profession by providing a variety of services, benefits and opportunites to grow in the field of public relations/communications/marketing.

The Craft Club of Sebastian is located at the Riverview Park, US 1 in Sebastian. It consists of many vendors with all handcrafted items who come from Indian River County, Brevard County and St. Lucie County. They have eight Craft Shows per year beginning in October and ending in May. The shows are scheduled for the first Saturday of the month, except in November which is scheduled for the second Saturday. Come and enjoy a day at the Craft Show by the beautiful Indian River

The main goal of the Indian River Riding Club is to promote and encourage care, riding, and enjoyment of the horse plus friendship and fun. The club offers a wide range of activities at all levels, some of which are restricted to members only. Schooling shows in English, Western Pleasure, Mini´s, Games, and Fun Shows are routinely held.

The Junior League of Indian River, Inc. (JLIR) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively education and charitable.

The Indian River Community College Small Business Development Center is the Treasure Coast branch of a nationwide non-profit network of college and university based centers sponsored by the SBA. They link the resources of the federal, state and local governments and the private sector to provide entrepreneurs with the one-on-one counseling, management training and information they need to prosper and grow in a complex and competitive economy.

Shriners mission is to provide support for 22 Shriner´s Hospitals for children, consisting of 18 orthopedic hospitals, 3 burn hospitals and one hospital that provides orthopedic, burn and spinal injury care. These hospitals have helped more than 750,000 children, at no cost to the patient’s family or to any insurance company for this care.

The mission of the Friends of St. Sebastian River is to maintain and improve the health and beauty of the St. Sebastian River and its watershed.

The Indian River Astronomical Society (IRAS) was organized in June of 2002. The institutional sponsor of the Society is the Indian River Charter High School. In addition, the Society is a member of the Astronomical League, an international association of astronomical organizations, and enjoys those benefits.

The Vero Beach Chapter of the AARP provides activities and education for residents and visitors. Please contact us to receive our newsletter with our current events. Also, our monthly meetings will provide a great source of information on the community, safety and health issues.

The Society is governed by a Board of Directors and an executive committee composed of officers and the immediate past president. The directors and officers are elected at an Annual General Meeting. There are several committees, each with special focus, and members find participation most rewarding.

The OBA represents the interests of the Barrier Island Business Community and conducts events and activities to improve the Quality of Life on the Barrier Island, attract customers for local businesses and to promote the area as a desirable place to visit, shop and live.

Sprouting from an art group that was began in 1937, The Sebastian River Art Club was incorporated in 1972 and is an active organization that meets every Tuesday in City Hall Annex, supports local charities , takes part in community events and presents the "Rosalie Taylor Hume Scholarship annually to a deserving art student. The Society’s goal is to educate and guide future generations of Indian River County on the value of preserving family records and local histories. The society published in 1987 Cemeteries of Indian River County and is currently compiling church records of Indian River County for a future publication.

Founded nearly forty years ago, the Vero Beach Duplicate Bridge Club has grown to one of the largest sanctioned ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) clubs in the country. The member-owned and operated club has more than 600 dues-paying members and hosts more than 11,000 tables of bridge per year.

OUR MISSION is to encourage and support appreciation and creation of fine art with emphasis on all forms of painting, collage and sculpture. Founded in 1936, the Vero Beach Art Club is an independent not-for-profit organization currently serving over 400 members and the Vero Beach community through monthly meetings, education, exhibitions and social events which include two of Vero Beach's main art shows annually, Under the Oaks and Art by the Sea.

The Exchange Club of Indian River meets every Wednesday from noon to 1:00 pm at Culinary Capers, 737 22nd Street, Vero Beach. There is no charge for new persons who express an interest in joining. The Club is a group of men and women working together to make our community a better place to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and the Prevention of Child Abuse. Its 501(c)3 Foundation raises funds for programs that prevent child abuse.
