Vero Beach Churches and Places of Worship
A church building is a structure whose primary purpose is to accommodate a gathering of people for the purpose of worship. Originally, Christians met in synagogues and in one another's homes. Eventually entire buildings were set aside for the explicit purpose of Christian worship.
Traditional church buildings are often in the shape of a cross, and frequently have a tower or dome. More modern church buildings have a variety of architectural styles and layouts; many buildings that were designed for other purposes have now been converted for church use, and similarly many original church buildings have been put to other uses.
A synagogue is a Jewish house of prayer. Synagogues usually have a large hall for prayer (the main sanctuary), smaller rooms for study and sometimes a social hall and offices. Some have a separate room for Torah study, called the Beit midrash.

Christ Church Vero Beach is an Anglican Church offering traditional biblical worship in a humble environment. We invite you to join us on Sundays for worship at 8:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m., childcare offered during the 10:00 a.m. service. We also have a Sunday Children’s Service at 10:00 a.m. You may also join us LIVE from the comfort of your home via our website at www.christchurchvero.org. for the 10:00 a.m. service. On Thursdays, we offer a Holy Eucharist/Healing service at 10:00 a.m. We are located off US 1, one block south of 17th Street. Where Grace and Truth meet in Christ Jesus.
