WHO WE ARE:
The Amara Shrine Krazy Kops were organized in April 1982 as an unit of Amara Shriners(amarashrine.org), Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The Shriners (shrinershq.org)are an international fraternity of about 500,000 members. Shriners are known for our colorful parades, clowns, funny little cars and circus.

The Krazy Kops are one of these parade units. Headquartered in Vero Beach, FL the Amara Krazy Kops are a group of Shriners who love to parade with our colorful “jailcell” cart while dressed as Keystone Kops and their prisoner.

Shriners have a purpose beyond fun - WE PARADE THAT CHILDREN MAY WALK

OUR MISSION:
Shriners mission is to provide support for the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children, consisting of 18 orthopedic hospitals (3 of which also provide spinal cord injury treatment), 3 burns hospitals and one facility that cares for all three types of cases. In addition to treatment these hospitals are among the leading research facilities in the World. Shrine hospitals have now helped over 750,000 children, at no cost to the patient’s family or to any insurance company.

All medical care and services provided at Shriners Hospital are based on a family centered environment. This philosophy stresses that while medicine might cure a child’s body, tending to the child’s sense of well-being is equally important in the healing process.

When a child is screened for admission to a Shrine Hospital, the only questions asked concern the nature of the problem and whether or not the hospitals may help or cure the child. There are never questions asked concerning ability to pay since all treatment is free.

If you know of a child under 18 years of age with orthopedic problems, severe burns or a spinal cord injury that the Shriners Hospitals might be able to help, all toll free 1-800-237-5055 or locally you may call “Reg” Lawrence at (772)-464-8763, or Jack Vasbinder (772) 562-5207.

NO MAN STANDS SO TALL AS WHEN HE STOOPS TO HELP A CHILD
